“the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things– that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discrete, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.”

Titus 2:3-5 NKJ

You know why the older women are instructed to teach the younger women to:

  • love, be good and obedient to their husbands
  • love their children
  • be discrete
  • be chaste
  • make a home

because women do not naturally know how to do these things and failing in these areas causes the very word of God to be blasphemed… girls, this is serious!  We are in an age where marriage is disposable, kids are disrespectful and we are called to be different.  I am passing the baton of wisdom that the Lord has taught me over 20 years of marriage, parenting, homemaking and homeschooling onto the next generation.  It is essential that we women understand the gravity of our role in life.

Marriage, parenting, & homemaking all must be done with with the love and respect that the New Testament points out for every believer… but let’s get real, our American culture leads us in a different direction. Husbands often don’t act like the spiritual leaders they should be, nor do they act like Ryan Renolds overflowing with just the rights words and gestures.  Kids can complicate life in tremendous ways from time spent taking them from lesson to lesson, or just the chaos they bring to the table by being willful.  The house can spiral out of control which only magnifies the tension between family members.  Our culture says get a divorce if marriage gets uncomfortable, kids are just being kids, and Martha Stewart has a staff, so who cares if my house if perfect? So what’s a girl to do?

If you are struggling in your marriage.  If you have kids that are bouncing off the walls.  If you have issues keeping  your house in order.  If you homeschool and need fresh ideas. If you need Biblical encouragement. If you feel like you just are in a bunch of chaos and wish life were more simple… then welcome home, this is your spot.  Here you can rest, learn and find encouragement to make life more simple.  Here you can find the mentoring that really matters, mentoring that leads you to a Christ centered life, filled with peace and joy.  A life centered in Christ becomes a life lived… simply.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28
